Questions about using the templates
Are these templates free to use?
Yes. Print them, copy them or download the CSV and adapt them in a spreadsheet. No sign-up is needed.
Will an inspector accept paper records?
Yes, provided they are complete, legible and kept for at least three years. The regulations require the records, not a particular format. Software makes them easier to keep and to find.
Do these templates cover Scotland and Wales?
They are built around the English 2018 regulations, but the records they capture (register, daily checks, cleaning, training, treatment, emergency plan) are expected under the Scottish and Welsh regulations too. Check your own licence conditions for anything extra.
Prefer the records to fill themselves in? PetCompli keeps every one of these as a live record with a full history.
